Untamed NQ Magazine

The last six months of 2012 were spent working on my major Creative Exchange university project. Our team developed an online environmental magazine, Untamed NQ. I was the sole photographer for the project. The photographs below are all featured in our magazine, along with little articles. I was lucky enough to work with my best friends (graphic designers and illustrators) to create this beautiful online publication.

"Untamed NQ Magazine is an environmental publication that aims to generate positive interest and awareness of sustainable practices in North Queensland. Based in Townsville, our team hopes to make a difference in our community by educating people on pressing environmental issues. 

The idea to create one of Townsville's first environmental magazines first came about in June, 2012. A group of creative individuals chose to join forces and combine their efforts to create a publication like no other. Our magazine showcases the unique talents of professional graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, marketing guru's and education experts. With the addition of journalists and reporters, Untamed NQ is a true collaborative project. 

While our magazine a beautiful, visual experience for the reader, it is also so much more than that. It is also an important educational tool and we hope to make a positive difference to our future regional environment and the views on sustainability practices here in Townsville and North Queensland"

Late last year I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph a truly incredible event for Townsville. Simply beautiful designs and hand crafted garments, elegant models, extravagant hair and makeup to die for! It was such a joy to photograph.
