Giverny & Nathan

This photoshoot unexpectedly fell on one of those beautiful rare days when everything just works out perfectly. I woke up in the morning and everything just felt right. Outside it was raining, and had been for quite a while - but everything felt so alive, fresh and damp. I jumped in the car and drove excitedly to my first maternity photoshoot. The hard rain eased as soon as I pulled up at the beach and the lighting was so soft and lovely.

Giverny was glowing, with her round baby bump hidden by a light, white sarong. Her and Nathan played in the ocean while I snapped around them on the shore, and as soon as we had decided to head back up the beach - down came the rain. It was almost like the clouds had known all along and they were waiting for us to finish up to let their raindrops fall. It was just perfect. I feel so lucky to have photographed their little family.

BOSS Exhibition

I received a lovely surprise email today informing me that my work 'Judith' from the Women In Windows Series has been selected to be a part of the Best of Student Show Exhibition at JCU's School of Creative Arts.

The BOSS exhibition is opening on Tuesday 19th Feb at 5pm with free entry and refreshments. If you're in the Townsville area check it out.

You can read all about the group exhibition here

What a nice way to start the year :)

Women In Windows

The Women in Windows series explores the concept of the individual's construct of reality. The window frame, defines each woman's world and is a platform for their projection into the outside. The women sit comfortably, framed by each window, looking out on an unknown landscape. The series asks you to question each individual woman's story and their intimate relationship between the window, seeing and perception.

Make Amend

Make Amend is a fashion label created by Cassie from sunny Townsville. Make Amend encourages young ladies to adorn their bodies with unique designs that embrace femininity, support independent designers, and help our environment.

We featured her beautiful garments in Untamed NQ late last year and I was lucky enough to photograph her lovely vintage inspired, quirky designs.
